Energrom Energy operates the Industrial Waste Thermal Disposal facility in Şile as the final link in the integrated waste management services of İstaç, an Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality subsidiary, under a Build-Operate-Transfer model. The facility has been constructed by the Energrom Energy - Alkataş construction partnership, using the best techniques and the latest technology.
• On 06.03.2018, the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs granted a definitive permit numbered 47, allocating a 10-hectare area to İBB until 08.07.2052 for the establishment of a THERMAL DISPOSAL FACILITY.
• On 23.06.2017, İSTAÇ signed a contract with İBB for the "Construction and Operation of Facilities for the Management of Industrial Wastes."
• On 27.12.2018, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality President's approval numbered 21733 allocated a 10-hectare area to İstaç until 23.06.2047.
• On 27.03.2019, a contract was signed between İSTAÇ and the Alkataş - Energrom partnership for the design, construction, and operation of a 33,000 tons/year Industrial Waste Thermal Disposal Facility, valid until 23.06.2047. The facility will be maintained and transferred to the administration free of charge at the end of the contract period.
